Lakeside Shopping Centre

The Lakeside Shopping Centre is one of the largest shopping centres within a single location in Europe. It has almost 240,000m2 of shopping space, in which there are over 250 shops and 50 cafes and restaurants. The car park is big enough to hold 13,000 cars.

Anything staying in Thurrock or around that area has easy access to this vast shopping centre, including a direct link to Chafford Hundred railways station and being connected to the M25 and A13.

To keep up with its modern shopping centre peers, the Lakeside has recently gone through a £30 million refurbishment, including new lighting, ceilings and glass roofs for more natural light to filter in. Shops within the centre are also constantly improving themselves, including Marks and Spencers receiving planning permission to extend to a third floor.
